Save Green with these Energy Saving Tips for your Business
June 12, 2019
Offices generally use the most electricity for lighting. When it comes to lighting, save energy by simply dimming the lights. If you want to go the extra mile, consider installing occupancy sensors so that the lights switch off when the office isn't occupied.
Heating & Cooling
Heating and cooling typically account for one-quarter of a building's energy use. In order to save energy, remember to change your air filter regularly and tune up your HVAC equipment yearly. Go even further by installing a programmable thermostat and sealing your heating/cooling ducts.
Computers & Equipment
Remember to use power management features such as 'sleep mode' and to print documents double-sided. If your office has appliances such as refrigerators and dishwashers, make sure they have an air-gap of at least 3 inches between the back of the appliance and the wall.
